Photo of the Month: November 2016

We enjoyed our visit to Selva Verde Lodge in March 2015. There were beautiful areas to walk and explore to see amazing wildlife. We saw Black-mandibled Toucans, Montezuma Oropendolas, Rufous Motmots, Black-cheeked Woodpeckers, Palm Warblers, Buffthroated Saltators, Baltimore Orioles, Scarlet-rumped Caciques and more, as well as green basilisks and a handsome whitenosed coati. It was like a special wildlife show put on just for us. While planning our trip, my husband talked about how he would love to see more basilisks than the last time we were in Costa Rica. He was in heaven spotting them. They are such impressive prehistoric looking creatures. While on the Sarapiquí River boat trip we saw one running across the water. Amazing!
