Read days 12 & 13 here.

Day 14:

With their time at Machu Picchu coming to a close, some members of the group choose to revisit the landmark.  The group later goes to the local town of Aguas Calientes and visits the local market.

The rest of the day is consumed with travel.  Marion and the group travel by train to Ollantaytambo Station and then take a bus back to Cusco.

Some participants got up before daybreak to revisit Machu Picchu and try to catch sunrise from the "sun gate."  This is the location where many of the Machu Picchu site overview photos are taken."

Day 15:

Back in Cusco, the group explores more of the city's historical riches.

Excursion through the city of Cusco.  The center of Cusco is a history lesson.  Modern and colonial buildings are built on top of Inca foundations, and colonial churches dominate the central square.

Next on the agenda is an excursion to the Sacsayhuaman Ruins.  The ruins are full of mystery, compiled with large polygonal blocks that interlock with one another.
