Bernadette Bernard's Costa Rican Travels Part 4

Holbrook Travel's very own Bernadette Bernard traveled to beautiful Costa Rica with Road Scholar in 2012.  Here is a day by day account of her journey: We started the day again with the energizing early morning walk which was optional.  We went back for breakfast and then took off for the exhilarating river rafting.  First the group leader elaborated again on the significance of the rafting activity and the need for appropriate shoes and clothing as we would get wet during the rafting.  Life jackets and head gear were also a must.  The rafting was nothing short of fun and entertainment for everyone.  Halfway through the rafting on a mini hard ground in the middle of the river, we stopped for a short break and enjoyed fresh fruit and juice.  We also took pictures and jokingly discussed/claimed who the better rafters were in the different rafts.  As all good fun must come to an end, we then returned to the lodge to shower, change and enjoy the buffet lunch. Upon arrival at Arenal Springs Resort around 3:00 p.m., we checked in and took a much-needed rest.  This was followed by a very informative lecture based on the Arenal Volcano and ended with dinner at the resort restaurant which offers a spectacular panorama.
