Body:

Jenny earned a bachelor's degree in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from the University of Florida in 2010 and a master's degree in Sustainable Development Practice from the Center for Latin American Studies at UF in 2012. For her master’s project she traveled to Guatemala to conduct surveys in Uaxactún and Tikal National Park about ecotourism. In 2013, she was Director of the Sarapiquí Conservation Learning Center at Selva Verde in Costa Rica. Jenny is the proud granddaughter of Archie and Marjorie Harris Carr, both dedicated and well-known conservationists and writers. Jenny continues her grandmother’s legacy to spread awareness about restoring the Ocklawaha River by breaching Rodman (Kirkpatrick) Dam, which was left over from the deauthorized Cross Florida Barge Canal project.  Today the land that the government took from the public by imminent domain is a state park known as the Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway and the land bridge over Interstate 75. Jenny has 10 pet guinea pigs and enjoys snorkeling in freshwater springs with her daughter. Jenny is very excited to officially join the Holbrook family!
