Greetings from Quito! Traveling on the flight is the first part of the adventure.

Today we were on our own until noon, when Laurie P. picked me up for lunch and a few accommodation inspections — I have to work some of the time while I'm here.  This evening we joined Laurie P.

I will soon be off to on my adventure to the Amazon of Ecuador. I am traveling to Ecuador with Rainforest Alliance (www.rainforestalliance.org) to visit several different lodges in the Ecuadorian Ama

We started our day early for a rainforest walk at Lake Eacham, a lake around the volcanic crater. This was a lovely 3.5km walk through a higher altitude rainforest.

King Parrott We began the morning on the deck with the owner of the Rose Gum as she set out seeds for the area King Parrots and beautiful Rainbow Lorikeets.

Today we met our next guide, biologist Martin Cohen.
