There is something very special about rising before dawn to leave our tented camp and visit the hippo pool where dozens of these giant creatures slowly make their way to the meeting point of the Seronera and Orangi Rivers. 

I always get goosebumps being so close. Watching them soak and interact as the sun rises is one of my favorite moments on our Tanzania tours. And this baby, sticking close to its parent, was especially endearing.
