During my trip to Namibia, I was lucky enough to witness surreal landscapes and blazing sunsets over the skyscraping Sossusvlei dunes. With their smooth, curvy peaks, they towered over everything and it was such a humbling experience. One morning, we woke up early to go hot air ballooning to see them from an aerial view, and it was absolutely breathtaking. A few days later, I was delighted to learn about the Herero people and their traditional Victorian garbs, like the woman pictured below. It was like going through a time machine to colonial times in Europe one moment, and then being surrounded by wildlife on a safari the next.
