The Sarapiqui Conservation Learning Center (SCLC) was recently featured on the SustainableTrip.org blog, a service of Rainforest Alliance.
The article, published December 18th, tells the story of how the high cost of textbooks meant that "attending school was just a dream for Sarapiquí's poorest children," inspiring Selva Verde Lodge and JADE to create a local library that eventually evolved into " a community center, conservation organization, and ecotourism operation all in one."
