San Diego Bird Festival 2013 - February 28-March 3
We're heading west to the Golden State for this year's San Diego Bird Festival. Keynote speakers include Dr. John Fitzpatrick, director of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and Bill Thompson, editor of Bird Watcher's Digest.
On February 27, we'll be hosting the festival's pre-registration mixer event, open to anyone wanting to mingle with other attendees and beat the rush in registering for workshops.
Birding and natural history expert Paulo Valerio will be joining us to share his knowledge of the Birding Hotspots of Costa Rica during lectures on Thursday (noon, Room E9) and Saturday (7 p.m., Wesley Palms Retirement Community).
Stop by our booth during the show and ask Debbie Sturdivant for information about our birding expeditions, including programs at Selva Verde Lodge and with leaders such as Julie Zickefoose (Costa Rica) and San Diego Audubon Society (Galápagos Islands).
