Holbrook Travel Marketing Internship

Do you have a passion for travel, strong writing abilities, and an unquenchable desire to learn? Holbrook Travel is an educational travel provider located in Gainesville, Florida. Our internship program is a unique opportunity to experience the travel industry from a marketing and communications perspective. As an intern at Holbrook Travel, you'll gain hands-on experience to prepare you for the workforce in areas such as:
  • public relations/communications
  • copy writing
  • marketing
  • social media
  • multimedia
  • research
  • design
  • market analysis
Specific duties may include  assisting with development projects, social media content generation and account maintenance, design, campaign building, competitor research and analysis, trend reporting, video editing and production, and writing press releases, feature articles, and other marketing pieces. As with any internship, there may be a certain amount of work that is somewhat less exciting, such as organization or data entry, but these tasks are not common. We encourage you to openly communicate any personal goals you may have for the internship throughout the semester. If you love video editing and want to focus on building your repertoire, we'll do our best to give you priority on video projects. If you've never used Adobe InDesign but are eager to learn, we'll do what we can to make sure you end the semester with solid experience and some pieces to show for your new skills. This internship is what you make it.  Innovative approaches for new and current projects and ideas for new processes, materials, and systems are always encouraged. The technical details: Our internships are currently unpaid. They can be completed for credit (through your college) or as an independent, non-school-affiliated internship (we recommend and prefer the former). Interns are expected to work 20 hours a week. We are flexible and are able to work with your schedule, but it is highly preferred that you establish a routine of which days and times you will come in every week. We offer three internships per year: Spring (January-May), Summer (May-August), and Fall (August-December). To apply: Please email the following to marketing@holbrooktravel.com:
  • Resume
  • Cover letter
  • Writing sample
  • Additional samples or clips as desired (optional)
  • Desired semester of internship
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. If you think you'll be a great fit for the internship, apply today!

Photo of the Month: November 2025
Above: On the way to see baobab trees at sunset on the red dirt roads in the bush of Madagascar, we stopped as the young goat herders crossed directly in front of us, looking like majestic figures in the sunlit, dusty glow. It felt like the scene of a movie, and this photo captured the feeling of that moment perfectly.
