This week, the American Public Gardens Association is holding its annual conference in Denver, Colorado this year and our very own Sandy Schmidt, Holbrook’s senior travel consultant and garden tours director, is there!
This year’s theme is Everyday Magic celebrating and recognizing the hint of magic garden professionals use to transform a community into a world-class botanic garden. The conference is complete with guest speakers, exhibits, tours, and workshops and sessions with topics ranging anywhere from, “building a culture of guest excellence” to “creating your own traveling exhibit.” The 2014 conference is hosted by Denver Botanic Gardens, which is considered to be one of the top botanical gardens in the nation with 24 acres of urban oasis, and partnered with Cheyenne Botanic Gardens, Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, and the Gardens on Spring Creek.
Want to explore some of the world’s everyday magic? Holbrook offers garden discovery tours focusing on education, conservation, and research to both well-mapped gardens and untrammeled destinations, such as Ecuador, New Zealand, and India.
