“Understanding Galápagos” Book Hits Shelves

After years of research and dozens of trips to the archipelago, University of Minnesota professors Randy Moore and Sehoya Cotner have accomplished their goal of publishing a comprehensive book for Galápagos travelers. Within the pages of this book is a detailed history of the islands, information about the geography and wildlife a typical visitor may see, and an appendix with more than 350 GPS coordinates to direct visitors to locations they should not miss. (To read more about the creation and content of the book, see our previous post “Understanding Galápagos”: A New Look at an Ancient Place.) This must-have guide book is now available through Amazon and McGraw Hill’s website. “Save for the 1970's research team who lived on Daphne Major Island for years, precious few scientists can claim to have more experience in the Galápagos Archipelago than Randy Moore and Sehoya Cotner," wrote one Amazon.com reviewer named Logan. "This volume is a one of a kind book about a one in the world location. Excellent.” For a preview of just some of the many questions that will be answered in this Galápagos guide, check out the promotional video below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvKZN3wReUY
