Marketing Internship: Positions Now Open For Fall

Holbrook Travel’s marketing/communications internship is a unique opportunity for students to experience the travel industry from a communications perspective. We accept applications on a rolling basis for the spring, summer, and fall semesters. As a marketing intern at Holbrook Travel, you’ll gain hands-on experience to prepare you for the workforce in areas such as social media, graphic design, research, campaign planning and analysis, video editing, writing, editing, and more. As with any internship, there may be a certain amount of work that is somewhat less exciting, such as organization or data entry, but these tasks are uncommon. This internship is what you make it. We highly encourage you to openly communicate any personal goals you may have for the internship throughout the semester. If you love video editing, we’ll do our best to give you priority on video projects. If you've never used Adobe InDesign or Photoshop but want to learn, we’ll do what we can to make sure you end the semester with solid experience and some pieces to show for your new skills. Initiative and creativity are encouraged.

The technical details:

Our internships are currently unpaid. They can be completed for credit (through your college) or as an independent, non-school-affiliated internship. We ask interns to commit to around 15 to 20 hours a week for the semester. We're flexible and are able to work with your schedule, but it's highly preferred that you establish a routine of which days and times you will come in every week. Our office is open Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. We offer three internships per year: Spring (January-May), Summer (May-August), and Fall (August-December).

Who should apply?:

There are no specific major requirements, but most of our past interns have been students from the fields of journalism, public relations, advertising, or telecommunications. We accept applications from freshmen to graduate students, but please check for any prerequisite course requirements from your college if you’re hoping to do the internship for credit. You are not required to have prior knowledge of software like InDesign/Photoshop/Premiere, etc. We’ll teach you what you need to know. To apply, send your resume and a short writing sample to marketing@holbrooktravel.com.

Photo of the Month: November 2025
Above: On the way to see baobab trees at sunset on the red dirt roads in the bush of Madagascar, we stopped as the young goat herders crossed directly in front of us, looking like majestic figures in the sunlit, dusty glow. It felt like the scene of a movie, and this photo captured the feeling of that moment perfectly.
