This year’s National Association of Independent Schools conference will be held in Seattle, Washington from February 29 – March 2. The theme for this year is Innovation: Imagine, Invent, Inspire and Dream. More than 3,500 independent school leaders and colleagues are expected to attend the conference.
Holbrook Travel is looking forward to attending the conference and meeting teachers and administrators from the country’s top independent schools. The conference will host Bill Gates as speaker for the Opening General Session along with Independent Matters lectures by Stephen Carter, Cheryl Crazy Bull and Sarah Kay on March 1.
Vice President Laurie McLaughlin said she looks forward to learning about independent schools and how Holbrook Travel can better serve teachers and students from these types of schools. She is also interested in meeting new people and making connections.
Here are some of our favorite upcoming workshops:
- Building a Truly Global Mindset in Your Faculty and Students
- Experiential Education: Trends, Themes and Curricular Integration
- Take Service Learning to a Higher Level
- Global Studies: Critical Thinking, Civic Understanding, and Economic Dynamism
- From Envisioning to Implementing Global Programs
