Born and raised in Mexico City with Zapotec roots in Oaxaca, Rodrigo holds degrees in Business Administration from Instituto Politécnico Nacional and Creative Marketing from Texas A&M. After a decade in corporate sales, he pursued his true calling and moved to San Miguel de Allende in 2010, where he spent 15 years designing birding, nature, and cultural tours throughout Mexico—from the Yucatán's Mayan ruins to Chiapas's indigenous highlands, from the Veracruz raptor migration to monarch butterfly sanctuaries, from Oaxaca's endemic birds to the Copper Canyon. He has served on the board of Sociedad Audubon de México for nine years and founded the Central West Mexico Birding Society. At Holbrook, he focuses on developing Mexico programs and supporting Group Leaders. In his free time, Rodrigo enjoys bird photography, exploring Mexico's regional cuisines, and sharing the trails around San Miguel with fellow birders.
