Alaska Wilderness

Jul 26, 2022

Today we fly out to our remote camp on the beautiful and rugged Gulf coast. This is in prime bear habitat so multiple guides will accompany the group for enhanced safety. This is also the site of an abandoned town so old relics litter the forest, presenting even more photographic opportunities. A famous shipwreck lies in front of the camp, a sign of its far different past. As the coast is so rich in berries and fish, this locale offers the rare opportunity to view both Black and Brown Bears together; in most other places the Brown Bears would chase off their smaller cousins.
