About Holbrook

Holbrook is dedicated to offering quality educational, natural history, and specialty travel coordination to groups and individuals. Major channels of distribution of our product include educational institutions, nature organizations, photography clubs, a wide array of special interest clubs and also families and friends. Holbrook also owns and operates Selva Verde Lodge and Private Reserve in Costa Rica.

Our primary areas of expertise are Latin America and Africa.  Countries such as Costa Rica, Belize, Honduras, Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands, Peru, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa are some of the regions in which we create our own programs through direct negotiation.

About This Position

The ideal candidate would have experience in international travel coordination, world geography, negotiation, pricing and also be extremely detail oriented, have the ability to manage multiple tasks and finally have a desire to help the company grow and develop as they grow personally and professionally.

The position in our Operations Dept. requires a broad range of skills of an organized and motivated individual. Applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and work well within in a team environment.  Excellent analytical skills, attention to details, strong communication skills, and the ability to juggle numerous tasks at once are a priority for this role. Fluency in Spanish is required for this position. This position reports primarily to the Operations Manager.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational/Time Management Skills: Job may require working on multiple concurrent projects. Must be able to keep work organized to meet project deadlines.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Word., MS Outlook, MS Excel, Internet Explorer

Salary and Benefits

  • Base Salary: negotiable
  • 50% Dental and health insurance premiums covered first and second year of employment for employee, 75% the third year, then 100% after completing 3 full years.
  • Dental coverage includes 2 cleanings per year, x-rays, and additional benefits for more extensive procedures.
  • 2 weeks paid vacation; 3 weeks after 5th year of employment
  • 7 paid holidays – Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & Friday after.

Salaries

Salaries are established at the time of employment, commensurate with skills, experience, position and potential.  Salary increases and discretionary bonuses are not predetermined nor are they routinely granted. Increases and bonuses are solely based on seniority in the agency, productive quality, dependability, cooperation, judgment, attendance, individual initiative, general attitudes, merit and overall financial condition of the company. Salaries will be reviewed and increase or decrease will be determined in conjunction with employee reviews.
