Holbrook provides a wide variety of birding tours for everyone from beginning birders to experienced ornithologists. Our leaders and in-country guides are among the best in the business at finding and identifying birds. Holbrook believes in the lasting value of experiential travel and provides carefully selected experts who share their deep knowledge of diverse species, bird behavior and habitats. We also offer trips for serious nature photographers and for "citizen scientists" who assist in important avian field studies.

Holbrook offers three general types of birding programs to destinations worldwide. Travelers can join an existing trip with Holbrook`s expert in-country birding guides and birding associations. Holbrook can create a customized birding program with birding guides and naturalists and with experienced drivers, lodges, hotels and other local providers worldwide based on the traveler`s needs. In addition, Holbrook offers expert assistance in helping educators, curators or organizational leaders create and lead unique birding programs for organizations, schools or community groups.

Holbrook plans birdwatching tours to help travelers learn first-hand about the diversity of bird life in some of the most spectacular places on Earth. Whether its a private customized experience, one of Holbrook`s renowned expeditions, or leader created specialty expedition, Holbrook Travel is adept at combining birding endeavors with cultural, environmental, and adventure-based activities to suit your needs.

Each Holbrook birding destination is chosen based on a number of criteria:
- Variety of bird species
- Diversity of bird habitats and ecosystems
- Availability of local field expertise
- Accessibility
- Affordability
- Quality services (food, lodging, etc.)
- Safety and risk management
