About Holbrook

The Holbrook Team From the President

Sandy Doss,
Vice President of Academic Offerings

Sandy is a former science teacher with an enthusiasm for educational and environmentally sensitive travel that is unmatched in the travel industry! Her proficiencies with biological content, educational methodology, and field-based study programs have established Holbrook as the premiere provider of educational travel programs for students, professional development travel programs for educators, and specialty natural history travel programs for non-profits.

 Kelly Jarvis,
Educational Program Coordinator

Kelly, a former biology teacher, has joined us to share her life-long passion: the study and appreciation of the living world around her.

This passion has taken her to the continents of Australia, South/Central America and Africa where she has experienced both the natural and cultural diversity only gleaned from first-hand experiences in the field. Her background in science education is an incredible asset to the leaders of our academic, professional development, and field-based programs, offering deep insight to the educational mandates of teaching and the opportunity for fulfillment through field programming models. As a former leader of student studies on Holbrook programs herself, she is dedicated to assisting the clients of Holbrook Global Field Expeditions to create an unforgettable and enlightening opportunity to be immersed in the environments and communities of the world.

Debbie Sturdivant,
Director of Specialty Group Travel

Debbie began her career with Holbrook under the tutelage of our founder, Giovanna Holbrook.

Her considerable talent and deep knowledge-base is offered directly to Holbrook's non-profit and specialty group clientele to assist these organizations with all aspects of program development and marketing. A lifelong traveler, Debbie arrived in Florida with her family aboard their 38-foot sailboat in 1972, after cruising from California to Florida via the Galápagos Islands and the Panama Canal.
