Costa Rica Field-Based Learning Seminar for Educators
July 23, 2012 - July 27, 2012
This course is ideal for first-time international leaders as well as veteran coordinators of international student programming. Costa Rica’s incredible diversity of habitats, ecosystems and natural wonders is the ideal setting for this course. Only the size of West Virginia, Costa Rica boasts more than 15 distinct life zones, which are home to some 850 species of birds, over 600 species of butterflies, more than 1,200 species of orchids, and 205 species of mammals, including the jaguar, tapir, coatamundi, peccaries and four species of monkeys.
In this fun, intensive four-day field training seminar, you’ll work side-by-side with experienced guides, local naturalists, and educational travel experts to learn what it takes to design and organize a successful group program for your students or colleagues.
