Arianna graduated from the Honors College at Florida International University with a BA in Anthropology/Sociology and Geography. As an undergraduate, she conducted two years of community based research with residents of Sweetwater (aka Little Managua) in Miami-Dade County, Florida. She wishes to travel all over the world to visit old friends and meet some new ones. But her greatest wish is to travel to Venezuela, see her beloved city of Caracas again, and experience parts of the country she never got to see growing up.
Apart from completing English for foreigners in the intermediate level, Bernadette completed two years of vocational college for business studies. She worked for Air India and Kenya Airways as a secretary/Airport Agent respectively and for Travel Services Seychelles Ltd as their Customer Service Manager until she moved to the U.S. the same year she started working at Holbrook Travel. Her favorite place to go is still her homeland Seychelles, because her family lives there, but she has also visited Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Bahrain, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, France, England & Germany. She loves learning about different cultures and trying different cuisines, and is yet to find a chili pepper too spicy for her.
Ryan joined the Holbrook Team in 2015 as a receptionist and was later promoted to the Holbrook Road Scholar Dept in early 2016. He was born and raised in St. Paul, MN. Ryan is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He is currently pursuing his Bachelors Degree in Meteorology and hopes to one-day work for the National Weather Service as a Meteorologist. The top three places he’d like to visit are Ireland because of family history, Italy for the food, and Costa Rica for the surf. Ryan enjoys surfing, snowboarding, playing disc golf, running, biking, and hiking.
Wendy received a bachelor's degree in anthropology and a master’s degree in secondary social studies education from the University of Florida. She was a teacher for a few years before beginning a career in the travel industry. In her current role as Air Manager, Wendy is responsible for leading the air team, strategizing air processes, contract negotiation, ticketing, and booking flights. She has traveled throughout Latin America, Europe, Cambodia, and Vietnam. She is a self-described aspiring yogi and loves hanging out with her husband and pugs.
Carla has a degree in hospitality and tourism management. While attending college, she was also a supervisor for a hotel, a customer service agent for an airline, and an independent travel agent. After graduation, she spent five months backpacking through Europe to enhance her travel experience and thirst for adventure. She has visited more than 30 countries so far and has traveled throughout the Americas and Europe. Carla was born and raised in Spain and speaks fluent English, Spanish, and Gallego (similar to Portuguese).
Deb joined Holbrook in 2004. She started out as the receptionist for Holbrook and then moved to the Road Scholar department in the fall of 2006. She is the Destination Specialist for Road Scholar programs that travel to Argentina, Belize, Chile, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Galapagos, Guatemala, Honduras, Peru and the Yucatan. She has traveled to Belize, Chile, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras and Peru.
Kaiti joined Holbrook in 2013, but her journey working in the travel industry started years before that. Kaiti worked at both Delta and American Airlines, where her attention and commitment to detail coupled with her in-depth and behind-the-scenes knowledge of the airline industry put her in a unique position to make a contribution at Holbrook. Kaiti’s personal interests include traveling, cooking, and sports. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family outdoors, either on the lake or exploring local nature trails.
