Giovanna Holbrook is living proof that a love of nature fostered from childhood can have an impact on the world at large.

Raised on a farm outside of Alessandria in Northern Italy, Giovanna’s early life was characterized by a close relationship with nature. After completing her studies, the desire to see the world took her to London, marking the beginning of an international life, continuing in Chile and then to Florida, USA.

Life in Chile brought with it new experience in the travel industry with a focus on travel programs that emphasized culture, nature and diverse environments. Experiences leading educational travel groups to the Galapagos may be the place where Giovanna's philosophy about enriching lives through travel was born.

Giovanna’s focus on education and nature became the foundation on which Holbrook Travel was built, making affordable natural history accessible to regular people. Holbrook Travel continues to focus on educating people by sharing the natural world with them, knowing that the more we experience the natural world, the better advocates we become for conservation, cultural understanding and global awareness.

In 1992 Giovanna's children took on the challenge of carrying the torch and furthering the Holbrook mission. Holbrook Travel today strives to continue the work of Mrs Holbrook offering travelers the opportunity to develop a lasting relationship with the natural world.
